APIS® covers and protects the wound, absorbs exudate, and creates a moist wound environment. Invitro data[1] demonstrates that APIS® reduces bacterial load, decreases MMP-9, and triggers the release of growth factors[2], which has been shown to instill balance in the wound microenvironment[3] and progress the wound towards healing[4].
